Killing Floor Stats

What i'd like to see is a server-side stat tracker.

So for instance you could type in a command like "/heals" and you could see your total healing done on the server.

This would be pretty cool to see your total whatever per server.

Like i play on skeleton's bone pile servers and i'd like to know my total healing, being mainly a medic.

Global. For the exact same reason you argued. I want people to complain about me stealing their kills, accuracy, and heal points. That's competition.

No, thats horrible.

This game is not about competition................... Its about teamwork and survival. Why is it so hard to understand? If you want to compete, gather up a group of people who actually WANT to compete and then do so on a private server. Otherwise youll just ruin the game for everyone else..

Okay......based on what I've seen so far, it looks like the best stats to implement without making the game TOO competative are:
*on whitelisted maps
-Heals
-Assists
-Games survived on suicidal, normal, hard, beginner
-Achievements earned #/#
-Longest Killing spree without injury
-Kills with:
chainsaw
knife
flamethrower
Bullpup
etc.....
-specimens decapped
-Killed by:
siren
scrake
etc......
-Money earned through kills
-FF damage dealt
-Favorite class
-Favorite weapon (not knife or pistol)
-Favorite lvl
-Time played in KF

-End-
Can anyone think of anything else that might be fun/useful to see?

-Trolls kicked
-moderators pissed off
-Times Banned XD

*We are not looking for "oh hey that would be cool to know." There are a billion things like that. Relevance is key.
And in that regard why only whitelisted maps. Even if the stats were reasonable, no one cares if you have 5 trillion kills. If you have time to cheat for the stats page, I am disappoint.

Not a bad idea if implemented from the start. But it doesn't make sense to implement stats this late after the game's debut.
That's why it was suggested in July of release year. Also, l4d added expanded stats quite a while after the game's debut. Not that I think that adding stats is a good idea, just that your point doesn't really have much weight against adding stats.
Also, most of the people who really wanted stats have likely moved on to other games because they burned through KF and don't plan to return - at least on any regular basis.

Very simple Scoreboard idea:

Total money earned (TME) through the course of the game = Player Score:

- players with large numbers of small specimen kills will see they have earned a decent number of points
- someone pickng off larger targets will have more points due to high value target elimination
- anyone who heals their team all the time will also earn points as well
- surviving the round factors in, more points for each teammate that dies and tonnes for being the sole survivor and clutching it for the team.

Its a very basic, very easy to code score. Note the difference between "Total Money Earned = Points" and "Money = Points". Total money earned represents the value that player has made regardless of weapons he buys, how much he drops or lack there off, etc. So money hoarding does bugger all to your score, because you will earn money all the same.

It does encourage kill stealing is the ballache, but the current system is exactly the same, and furthermore it alienates Medics from the scoreboard, and anyone who actually does their job properly. So having TME gives indications of the other factors of the game. Excluding welding of course, but hey ho.

Moronic players might let others die to buff their own score more, but they run the risk of a) being killed themselves and b) being labelled an asshat :)


I still stand by this, would imagine it would take very little coding... if I knew anything about UnrealScript I might even have a go myself :)

Exactly. I have been against stats from the beginning.

You probably don't understand this, but many of the stats you want to track are not possible with the current coding and most are not tracked anyway- ie everyone would start at zero.

Seems like an arbitrary list of things with various levels of relevance.
