Why not a manual save option?
Can have it try to save or write to a log file if it can't. Which could lead to maybe making progress on fixing the bug?
Played for about 6 hours and just became an elder. Lost everything because it didn't save. Started a new game and went to main menu and there's a save now. Why?
From what I can read this is an issue you have had since launch, why are you adamant about not having a manual save when there is obviously an issue with your automated system that you seem unable to fix?
Other than the saving its an amazing game so it's really disappointing there is such a huge issue with it.
